Black Sabbath’s farewell concert lineup has been expanded to include additional female representation. Details emerged from Visit Birmingham.

The official announcement reveals the complete lineup for what’s being billed as Black Sabbath’s final performance. The event features both the reunion and supporting acts.

“The now sold-out reunion of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward marks the first full Black Sabbath performance in 20 years,” the announcement states. “As part of this one-off event, Ozzy will perform a solo set before joining his bandmates for one final bow.”

The announcement also detailed the extensive supporting lineup and charitable aspect of the event.

“The lineup features heavyweights from across the genre: Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice In Chains, Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Mastodon – plus a specially assembled supergroup featuring members of Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Ghost, The Pretty Reckless and more,” the statement continued. “All profits will be going to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice.”

The inclusion of The Pretty Reckless in the supergroup means Taylor Momsen will join Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale as the second female performer at the historic farewell show.

This farewell concert represents a significant moment in heavy metal history. It brings together multiple generations of rock legends for what promises to be an unprecedented celebration of the genre.

Black Sabbath’s official website confirmed this marks Bill Ward’s return to the lineup for the first full reunion in two decades. The drummer was notably absent during the 2017 farewell tour. His participation completes the original lineup that revolutionized heavy music in the early 1970s.

Nuclear Blast reported the concert will take place at Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham. This brings the band full circle to their hometown roots. The venue choice holds deep significance as Birmingham is widely recognized as the birthplace of heavy metal music.

Ozzy Osbourne expressed his emotional connection to the event in a heartfelt statement: “It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

Ultimate Classic Rock revealed that due to Ozzy Osbourne’s ongoing health challenges, he will perform sitting down during both his solo set and the Black Sabbath reunion portion of the show. This adaptation ensures the legendary frontman can still deliver his final performance with the band that defined his career.
