Linkin Park was forced to cancel their scheduled performance in Bern, Switzerland due to a medical emergency within the band. The band shared an official statement on X (formerly Twitter).

The band addressed the cancellation directly in their announcement. They expressed regret over the unexpected situation.

“It is with great sadness that we have had to cancel tonight’s show,” the band stated. “We’ve had a medical issue in the band, and are unfortunately not at a spot to be able to perform tonight.”

The statement continued with an apology to affected fans. It acknowledged their disappointment.

“We have always loved Switzerland, and were so excited to perform here,” they said. “We don’t take cancelations lightly and offer our sincere apologies to all of our fans affected by this decision.”

The band also provided information about rescheduling and ticket arrangements for disappointed concertgoers.

“We will be rescheduling tonight’s Bern show to be a part of our 2026 European tour so that we can make this up to all of you,” they explained. “We hope to have the 2026 show date and details within the next few days, and fans who purchased tickets will be contacted by their ticketing company with further information and options. Thank you for your understanding.”

The band has not disclosed specific details about the nature of the medical emergency.

This cancellation comes during a significant period for Linkin Park. They are navigating their current world tour and recent comeback.

AXS TV reported that their next scheduled concert is set to take place at Hellfest in France on June 22nd. That performance is expected to proceed as planned. The band also has upcoming shows in Milan on June 24th and performances in the Netherlands on June 26th as part of their ongoing European tour dates.

This cancellation marks another challenge for the band during their current world tour supporting their 2024 album From Zero. The album represents a new era since their comeback with frontwoman Emily Armstrong. 105.7 The Point noted that the album marks a significant milestone following years of hiatus after the tragic death of former lead singer Chester Bennington.

The Swiss concert cancellation is not the first scheduling issue the band has faced this year. Far Out Magazine revealed that earlier this year Linkin Park withdrew from the Sick New World Fest in Las Vegas due to poor ticket sales. This highlighted ongoing challenges during this tour cycle.

The band’s commitment to rescheduling the Bern show for their 2026 European tour demonstrates their dedication to making up for the disappointment. Fans will have to wait over a year for the makeup performance.
