Jonathan Cain Shares His Plans To Tour With Journey Despite Tensions

Journey is on their way to celebrating their 50th anniversary with a tour. Considering the ongoing tension between Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain, it has been a matter of curiosity if Cain would be a part of the shows. However, the keyboardist cleared the air with his recent social media post by revealing he is counting the days to hit the road with the band.

“I feel very grateful and blessed to share this time on the slopes with my baby before hitting the road with Journey,” the musician wrote in the caption of his Facebook post. Jonathan Cain also shared a photo with his wife while enjoying their time together on the ski slopes beside his note.

While many of Cain’s fans expressed their happiness about the news, Neal Schon announced not long ago that former member Gregg Rolie would be back for the anniversary tour. So, it’s not a surprise the keyboardist’s recent Facebook post confused Journey fans. However, this is not the only issue that leaves a question mark over the band’s future.

Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain have been at odds in recent months. It all started with Schon’s claim that Cain had prevented him from checking Journey’s finances and setting up the AmEx card without telling him. When Schon sued him, Cain didn’t hesitate to blame him for his excessive spending and extravagant lifestyle.

After dismissing Jonathan’s accusations as lies, Neal came across the keyboardist’s performance of ‘Don’t Stop Believin”. He attacked him for portraying the song as if it was about religion and politics. Schon’s most recent reason to target Jonathan Cain was Steve Perry dropping his lawsuit about Journey’s trademarks. The keyboardist now said he would be a part of the tour, but Schon didn’t comment on this announcement yet.
