Jon Bon Jovi shared with People that he had no role in his eldest son Jesse’s success in the wine industry.

The Bon Jovi frontman and Jesse launched their rosé brand, Hampton Water Wine in 2018. Jovi said, “As if I didn’t love him enough already, just seeing what he’s accomplished… When I walked into a laundromat, I almost cried.”

He stated, “So I mean, he’s come so far. I have nothing at all to do with this business, nothing. It’s all him. And to have accomplished and become the No. 3 premium rosé in the country, I mean, how can you not be proud of that?”

Jesse Bon Jovi also said he has loved working with his dad on their rosé brand. They’ve traveled the world together. Jon explained that he is very proud of all his kids, including Jesse, Jake, Romeo, and Stephanie, for their individual accomplishments.

In a previous interview with Forbes, Bon Jovi talked about whether he was worried that Hampton Water might be seen as just a vanity project. The singer revealed, “We knew we had something great in the bottle. So now how are we going to create a family business and not a celebrity brand?”

“We’re here six years later with 90-point ratings and the number five premium rosé in the United States. Like in anything else luck plays a factor. But really it’s the hard work. It’s anything but a celebrity brand [Laughs]. I stopped my day to do an interview with you. We’ve put years into this. I think it’s proof that we’re serious,” he added.

“We’ve definitely got some things on the horizon in the way of expansion that we’re excited about,” Jesse also said of what’s next for the brand. “Our major focus is continuing to grow our distribution.”

He then noted, “We plan to do over a hundred thousand cases this year. We’re in about 9,000 accounts nationally and in about 50 countries. Although we’ve had a lot of great initial success the runway ahead of us is still very long.”

Jon and Jesse teamed up with French winemaker Gérard Bertrand while launching their brand. Hampton Water is now available in 50 markets, including the UK, US, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, according to the Drinks Business.
