New Bad Wolves vocalist Sara “KILLBOY” Skinner revealed that Christian metal band Skillet has removed Bad Wolves from their upcoming fall tour, following backlash from Skillet’s fanbase.
Skinner shared a video on Bad Wolves’ Instagram account addressing the situation. She explained that Skillet’s fans had raised objections after digging into her background. This led to the band being dropped from the tour, even though Skillet’s camp reportedly preferred not to comment publicly.
“I have gathered you all here today to inform you that Bad Wolves will no longer be joining Skillet on their upcoming tour,” Skinner said. “Now, Skillet’s camp did not want me to say anything, but apparently a statement has to be made. And I’m not someone who’s ever hidden who the f*ck I am, so let’s not leave you to speculate, Okay?”
Skinner went on to detail what led to the decision, referencing claims made by fans following the tour announcement.
“Here’s the truth. Skillet announced us on their tour, and their fans had a field day doing very extensive research that their booking agents and management did not do,” she continued. “Upon their findings, I am a trans, OnlyFans, bitch. Now unfortunately, only one of those things is true. Have fun finding out and we will see you on the next tour.”

The fallout marks an abrupt reversal from just days earlier, when Bad Wolves’ inclusion on the bill was still being celebrated as a milestone moment for the band’s revamped lineup.
Bad Wolves had confirmed just last week that they would be joining Skillet’s “Comatose 20 Years: Still Screaming Tour” this fall, a run also featuring Escape the Fate. The tour was announced as a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Skillet’s sixth studio album, “Comatose.” It was set to mark the live debut of Bad Wolves’ newly restructured lineup.
Skinner joined Bad Wolves alongside bassist Derek Bolman, formerly of Sworn In, back in June, as the band ushered in a new era following lineup changes. The Skillet tour was meant to be Skinner’s first live outing fronting Bad Wolves. This makes the last-minute removal an especially high-profile setback for her tenure with the group.
Skillet, formed in Tennessee in 1996, is fronted by husband-and-wife duo John and Korey Cooper. The band has long been associated with the Christian rock scene, drawing a fanbase known for its conservative and religiously minded leanings. That same fanbase is now at the center of the controversy. It reportedly pressured the band’s camp after uncovering details about Skinner’s personal life following the initial tour announcement.
With Bad Wolves now off the bill, it remains unclear whether Skillet will adjust the tour lineup further or issue any public statement addressing the fan backlash that led to the split.
