In a recent Instagram post, Jack White expressed his dislike for Mark Wahlberg and Mel Gibson, labeling them as ‘disgusting’ due to their support for Donald Trump.
The singer shared a series of photos of these celebrities with the former president, and wrote:
“Anybody who ‘normalizes’ or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of sh*t Trump with any level of respect is also disgusting in my book.”
He added:
“That’s you, Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Wahlberg, you Guy Fieri. This is a statement from me, not a discussion/debate.”
White preferred to turn off the comments section under his statement, but then he shared a blank image in his following post. His fans mostly gave their support to the musician in his political stance. One of them wrote:
“Every time you make a political post, I’m so relieved that one of my favorite artists stands for what’s right.”
Another one, on the other hand, advised Jack to focus on his music rather than dealing with political issues, stating:
“Lol, you made a few good songs a decade ago. Do something with your life other than chasing the limelight; it’s just depressing…”
This is not the first time the rocker blasted other celebrities for supporting Trump. Back in November, he had called out Elon Musk after the CEO restored the former president’s Twitter account. White decided to quit Twitter after Musk’s move and wrote the following statement on Instagram:
“Shame on you for giving Trump and other professional liars the platform you are now in control of, and shame on anyone who does. And shame on you if you think it’s no big deal. It is. Thankfully, I’ve never had a personal Twitter account (it’s mostly a sea of negativity if you ask me). Still, I will now be deactivating my record labelThird Man Records account from Twitter.”
Later, the singer mocked the CEO again when he suspended Kanye West from using Twitter by calling him a hypocrite.
