In a recent interview with Classic Rock, Graham Nash expressed a desire to work with the Beatles’ Paul McCartney, describing this as his last musical goal.
The interview took place during the musician’s current tour, which sees him performing songs from different phases of his career, ranging from his days with The Hollies to his times with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, as well as solo ventures and collaborations.
Revealing details about his last goal, Nash said the following:
“There is one thing. Someday, I would love to sing ‘Yesterday’ with McCartney, just an acoustic guitar and our two voices.”
Regarding personal relationships, Nash opened up about his attempt to reconcile with David Crosby:
“That’s correct. We were emailing and voice-mailing each other and had set up a Facetime for two p.m. my time in New York and eleven a.m. in California, where he was. I waited and waited for the call, and it never came, and two days later, it was announced that he was dead.”
As Nash also pointed out, their reconnection was cut short due to Crosby’s untimely death earlier this year. However, he admitted he was optimistic about their reconciliation:
“If it was sincere, yes. And I do believe it would have been. You know, life is full of choices, and I choose to remember only the good stuff.”
Nash released his seventh solo album, titled ‘Now,’ on May 19, 2023. The singer described this album as his most personal record to date. It features songs that touch on global issues, including the ”MAGA tourists’ taking Capitol Hill,’ and environmental concerns.
In other news, the musician announced his 2024 Australian tour. As one of the headliners of the 2024 Port Fairy Folk Festival, Nash will be performing his first solo Australian tour.
