Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale introduced her latest song ‘Wanted Man’ during a live performance in Pensacola.
She posted a video on Instagram to share the moment with fans, and called the song a ‘new love song.’ She also posted the lyrics in the caption. The song is about lasting love, support, and finding strength through difficult times.
‘Wanted Man’ also reflects on aging, life’s struggles, and the bond between two people who stand by each other. Hale said that she wrote the poem for the song in October 2023 and finished the music and melody just a day before its live debut.
Lzzy has also hinted at the possibility of a solo album in recent interviews. She said Stevie Nicks’ solo record ‘Bella Donna‘ made her think about her own identity outside of Halestorm. She explained how Nicks’ decision to branch out from Fleetwood Mac gave her a way to explore new ideas, saying, “Here was Stevie Nicks, without Fleetwood Mac, absolutely defining herself. This is her fingerprint. She put herself under the microscope and really showed everybody what she was made of.”
Lzzy shared that she has many unreleased songs that could one day come together for a solo project. She said it’s a matter of time before it happens, whether it’s her choice or her bandmates encouraging her to take the leap.
Halestorm is currently on tour, but not everything has gone as planned. Hale announced on Instagram on January 14 that the band had to cancel two shows because of her vocal health. She shared that she was experiencing respiratory issues, saying she ‘woke up with lungs on fire.’ While disappointed, she reassured fans that the tour would continue.
Halestorm’s tour will wrap up on January 25 in Vermont.
