Bullet For My Valentine entered the studio to work on their new record. A post on the band’s official Instagram page read, “Here we go again.”
Expectations are high, as the announcement also featured photos from behind-the-scenes that showed Matt Tuck holding a seven-string guitar.
Fans shared excitement over a possibly heavier new piece of music under the post, with one commenting, “There’s 7 pegs on that guitar. Are you guys doing Drop A? That would be insane. Either way, I’m so stoked.”
Another one wrote, “I was very excited until I saw the 7-string… Now I’m beyond excited to see what’s cooking!”
Last year, Bullet For My Valentine announced they would spend 2024 working on their new record and return in 2025 for an anniversary of their debut album, ‘The Poison.’
The band’s last release came out in 2021, with a deluxe version following the next year. Matt Tuck said it was their heaviest collection yet during a chat with Rock Sound.
“It’s pretty brutal, to be honest,” the frontman explained. “It couldn’t be more of a contrast with ‘Gravity’ in a ferocious style. It’s very technical. I don’t know why. You’ve just gotta go with what you wanna go with – as a band, as a musician, as a songwriter, you’ve just gotta go with what’s floating your boat, and this time around, the heavy stuff is just coming out in masses.”
BFMV experimented with nu metal in their 2018 album ‘Gravity,’ which received mixed to negative reviews from fans. Despite that, the band’s catalog reached over one billion streams in the U.S.
