Bullet For My Valentine Drops New Single And Announces The Release Date Of Their Upcoming Album

Bullet for My Valentine recently released a brand new single from their upcoming album and signaled that they’re ready to get back to their thrash metal roots while announcing that their highly anticipated seventh album will be released in mid-Fall.

Bullet for My Valentine (BFMV) is a Welsh heavy metal band that was formed in 1998 and rose to fame thanks to its bold thrash metal sound with heavy metal leads and post-hardcore vocals. They released their latest album ‘Gravity’ back in 2018 which received mixed-to-negative reviews as the band had decided to experiment with nu-metal, but rather unsuccessfully.

Following the backlash, the band decided to go back to their roots and do what they do best; make heavy metal music. During an interview back in May 2020, the band’s frontman had revealed that they are getting ready to release their most technical and heavy record ever and had reassured their fans that they’ll get what they’ve been looking for.

This is how Matt Tuck had described their upcoming album to Rock Sound:

“It’s pretty brutal, to be honest. It couldn’t be more of a contrast with ‘Gravity’ in a ferocious style. It’s very technical. I don’t know why. You’ve just gotta go with what you wanna go with – as a band, as a musician, as a songwriter, you’ve just gotta go with what’s floating your boat, and this time around, the heavy stuff is just coming out in masses.

The riffs are crushing. There are probably 60 percent aggressive vocals, 40 percent clean, which is a ratio we’ve never really dabbled with before. It’s very heavy, it’s very technical. For the Bullet fans out there that kind of like that side of this band, it’s very cool and very exciting. It feels good.”

BFMV just dropped the first single ‘Knives‘ from their self-titled seventh album which will be released on October 22, 2021. The song has already been appreciated by thousands of fans who applauded the band for getting back to their original sound and the heaviness that really suits the band.
