Grey Daze Continue To Keep Chester Bennington’s Legacy Alive With New Singer

A new chapter for Grey Daze opened up last month as they hosted their first concert in 23 years. The event also marked their first show without Chester Bennington, and Revolver Magazine seized the moment, capturing the band’s journey through an article. Grey Daze thanked the magazine on their official Instagram page.

The seeds of this reunion were planted while Bennington was still alive. The band had intentions to regroup before his untimely departure in 2017. Instead of a reunion with the singer, Grey Daze moved forward by keeping the memory of their former frontman alive. They honored him with two albums: 2020’s ‘Amends’ and 2022’s ‘The Phoenix,’ featuring the singer’s pre-recorded voice.

Their gig at UFEST in Arizona, though, was way more than just a tribute. It was a comeback moment for the band, showing everyone they’re still dedicated to carrying on Bennington’s legacy. They took the stage with guest vocalist Cris Hodgers, standing alongside original members Cristin Davis, Mace Beyers, and Sean Dowdell.

Photographer Jim Louvau captured the band’s performance through his lens. Sharing the photos reflecting the event’s energy and Revolver’s special article, Grey Daze expressed their thanks through a short note on Instagram.

In the caption of their post, they wrote:

“Thank you, Revolver Magazine, for a cool article on our first performance at 98KUPD.”

Looking ahead, Grey Daze is pumped to rock out in California with three more shows lined up in July and August. You can find more information about the upcoming performances and catch up with updates on the band’s official website.
