Green Day are launching their own dedicated SiriusXM channel, as announced by SiriusXM. This marks a significant milestone two years after the band faced a radio ban from Las Vegas stations.

The new channel is called “Green Day’s Idiot Nation.” It will feature a mix of the band’s music, influences, and exclusive content. Green Day expressed their excitement about the venture in an official statement.

“We’re absolutely stoked to have our very own channel on SiriusXM to share all the songs we love. The ones that made us pick up guitars, pile into vans, and chase something loud and real,” the band said.

The statement continued to outline what listeners can expect from the new programming.

“We’re digging into everything, including bands we love, old Green Day demos, live tracks, deep cuts, and telling the stories behind it all. Come hang with us and let it rip!” they added.

This launch comes two years after Green Day faced controversy when Billie Joe Armstrong called Las Vegas “the worst s–thole in America.” This resulted in the band being banned from Las Vegas radio stations.

The channel represents a major step forward for the punk rock legends. It offers fans unprecedented access to their musical journey and influences.

SiriusXM’s official press release revealed that Green Day’s Idiot Nation will launch on Monday, April 20, 2026, on channel 314. The channel will be available to subscribers on both satellite radio and the SiriusXM app. This ensures wide accessibility for fans across different platforms.

All three band members have carefully curated the programming content – Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool. SiriusXM’s blog detailed that the channel will feature punk rock content hand-selected by the trio. This includes Green Day’s earliest demos, covers, live recordings, and stadium anthems. The programming will also showcase essential punk tracks from both pioneering bands and up-and-coming artists. Personal stories from the road and studio about their influences will be included as well.

Barrett Media reported that Tré Cool will host a monthly show called “Ground Support,” adding a unique touch to the channel’s programming. This special program will spotlight bands that Green Day has toured with throughout their career. It will feature their music alongside behind-the-scenes stories from their shared experiences on the road.

The launch of Green Day’s Idiot Nation represents more than just another celebrity radio channel. It offers fans an intimate look into the musical DNA of one of punk rock’s most influential bands. The channel is set to debut just days from now. It marks a triumphant return to radio for Green Day, transforming their previous controversy into an opportunity for creative control and direct fan engagement.
