Gene Simmons Explains The Reason Why He’s Leaving California, ‘Big City Lifestyle Is Not Our Thing Anymore’

KISS bass guitarist and co-founder, Gene Simmons, spoke in a recent interview with New York Post and confirmed that they are leaving Los Angeles.

In the conversation, Gene stated that they are moving out from Los Angeles and pointed out that there are lots of reasons behind this decision as he said that he is done with the L.A.

While Gene was saying that the attention they got in the city was enough for them, he also touched upon the fact that there are earthquakes, fires, and pandemics every year.

Furthermore, Gene revealed that he is living in Lake Tahoe right now and mentioned that it is more peaceful, and the quality of life is better. Additionally, Gene said that the big city lifestyle is not for them anymore.

Here is what Gene Simmons said:

“We are moving out of L.A. for a number of reasons, one of which are the tour buses. After a certain point, we have had enough of that, even though we appreciate the attention.

I’m done. There are earthquakes, fires and pandemics every year. Even though there is nice sunshine, I’m done. The quality of life is better there, so we can go hiking without bumping into people.

We have been exploring our primary residence options outside of California for a couple of years. We considered various properties in various states but ultimately decided that Nevada is a better choice for us. We are at a place in our lives where a big city lifestyle is just not our thing anymore.”
