Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Frank Ferrer has released his first public statement on Instagram regarding his departure from the band.
“The outpouring of love I have felt from the incredible fans of Guns N’ Roses and my peers over the past 24 hours has been tremendous,” Ferrer stated. “I will have immense gratitude and love always for Axl and the band while at the same time, disappointment that this chapter came to an end.”
“It has been an incredible 19 years,” he continued. “Guns N’ Roses has given me life-changing memories and experiences. A huge thanks to management, the crew, and fans for giving me memories that I will cherish for my lifetime. I hope I see you all again soon!”
The drummer’s departure signals a significant change in the band’s lineup. His exit concludes nearly two decades of collaboration.
Vinyl Me Please revealed that Ferrer stands as the longest-serving drummer in Guns N’ Roses’ history. He joined the band in June 2006.
Ferrer played a pivotal role in the band’s modern era. His most notable contribution came during the historic ‘Not in This Lifetime…’ tour. This tour reunited the classic lineup of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan for the first time in decades.
Vinyl Me Please documented his extensive contributions. He shaped the band’s sound through various recordings and performances throughout his 19-year tenure.
Wikipedia highlighted Ferrer’s musical versatility beyond Guns N’ Roses. He performed with other notable bands including The Psychedelic Furs and Love Spit Love. These experiences established him as a respected figure in the rock music industry.
After Frank Ferrer’s departure, Guns N’ Roses announced Isaac Carpenter as their new drummer. Carpenter will join them for their 2025 tour.
