Evan Rachel Wood has been in a defamation case with his ex-boyfriend Marilyn Manson for some time. According to Radar Online, the West World actress has demanded that Manson pay her a large sum to cover the legal fees she had to undergo ever since fighting his lawsuit.
The court documents that Radar Online got a hold of claims that Evan has asked the court to award her $346,470 to pay back her attorney fees, plus another $9,193 in costs. She also demanded another $22k for preparing the current motion and another $10k she expects to spend in the future, so a grand total of $387,813.67.
Manson initially sued West World star Wood and Illma Gore for defamation over what he referred to as ‘malicious’ and ‘false’ sexual abuse allegations which ‘derailed his successful music, TV, and film career.’ However, Wood’s girlfriend Gore has denied Manson’s accusations that she conspired with a woman to accuse Marilyn of sexual assault.
The case goes back to February 2021, when Wood, along with four other women, accused Manson of sexual and emotional abuse. This past May, the court cleared Wood’s name from allegations that she forced other women to testify falsely.
More recently, Wood’s ex-husband Jamie Bell joined the conversation. Wood and Bell were fighting over custody of their son, but Evan reportedly gave primary custody to Jamie after Marilyn Manson threatened her. Bell told Fox News that any abuse claims don’t involve him or their son Jack.
A source close to Manson told Fox News:
“Brian Warner has not had any contact nor communications of any kind with Evan Rachel Wood in nearly a decade. At no time has Brian Warner ever threatened Ms. Wood or her family. Wood has not provided a shred of evidence of Warner making any threats against her or her family.”
