Eric Clapton’s Daughter Ruth Doesn’t Mind George Harrison’s Past With Her Father While Paying Tribute To Late Icon

Rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton’s daughter Ruth Clapton has shared a birthday message to the late Beatles icon, George Harrison, via Instagram stories regardless of the complicated past he and her father had.

Worldwide famous lead guitarist of The Beatles, George Harrison passed away on November 29, 2001, after a long battle with cancer. Harrison died at the age of 58 at a friend’s house in L.A. with his wife and son at his side. Years after his death, his family and friends didn’t forget to celebrate what would have been his 78th birthday on February 25, 2021.

Recently on Instagram, Eric Clapton’s daughter Ruth Clapton shared a video of The Beatles icon George Harrison to pay him tribute on what would have been his 78th birthday. In her birthday message to the late musician, Ruth wished to love and light always be with Harrison. Yet, Ruth’s message reminded Clapton and The Beatles fans of the well-known dispute between the two close friends due to their common interest in the same woman, Pattie Boyd.

As you may recall, Clapton and Harrison were the two sides of a famous love triangle including the English photographer Pattie Boyd. George and his wife Pattie Boyd diverged from each other due to alcohol and drug overuse, and various affairs a few years later they got married. At the time, Eric and George Harrison were spending most of their time working together, and eventually, Clapton fell in love with his friend’s wife.

A few years after Boyd and Harrison’s divorce, Eric Clapton got married to the love of his life, Pattie. However, she also left him due to his abusive behaviors during their marriage eight years later. With her recent Instagram post and her lovely message, Ruth Clapton proved that she doesn’t care much about the previous feud between her after and George due to the famous love triangle that the iconic musicians involved.
