Dee Snider Shares Dream Live Band But Has Concerns On Angus Young’s Height

Dee Snider recently took to X, to share his dream lineup for a live band. Along with revealing his picks, he made a playful comment about how their heights might affect their stage dynamics.

“So, in the 80s, I imagined my ultimate ‘performing’ band,” his tweet read. “My lineup would be (in our prime) Angus Young, Juan Croucier (Ratt) and Scott Rockenfeld (Queensrÿche). That’s a helluva show! This said, as Angus and Juan are not big guys, I’m afraid I’d (unintentionally) trample them!”

Young has long been recognized for his small figure and iconic schoolboy outfit, which have been part of his image since the band’s rise in the 1970s. Standing at 5 feet 2 inches, he was even named ‘The Greatest Short Dude’ by Maxim in 2005.

The AC/DC guitarist’s height reportedly drew a lot of attention from women back in the day, as well, though he says it wasn’t what people might expect.

“Oh, I had a few wild nights over the years, but most of the time, everyone else was having them for me,” he revealed to Total Guitar in 2020. “Because of the schoolboy uniform, some women have tried to mother me – they think I’m cute because I’m so short. But playing has always been the thing for me.”

That same year, Young played on AC/DC’s first new album since 2014, ‘Power Up.’ After a long break, the band also returned to touring in early 2024 to support the record.

This month, they added a North American leg to their trek, scheduled for 2025. They’ll play in the U.S. and Canada from April to late May. The Pretty Reckless will return as the opening band.
