David Lee Roth Might Return From His Retirement Decision

Van Halen icon David Lee Roth spoke to Fox News and responded to the question about the retirement decision he made a while ago. The famous singer’s answer also can be seen as a message to his longtime and dedicated followers who have been waiting for it.

Last year, Roth shocked his fans after he had announced his Las Vegas Residency shows at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay starting in January 2022. Even though watching the singer live excited them, Roth added another statement while talking about his upcoming performances back then. The frontman revealed these would be his last shows, so the fans shouldn’t miss this opportunity to see him one more time.

Following this news, some of his colleagues found it reasonable, considering his age and right to pursue a more comfortable and peaceful life away from the music industry’s chaotic atmosphere. In contrast, others thought it was too early for an energetic and passionate person like Roth. A third category didn’t believe that they weren’t the final ones, and the singer was trying to sell more tickets by using this technique.

Then, Diamond Dave stated that he had to cancel these concerts, and even though he didn’t give any reason, it’s suspected that it was about the coronavirus concerns. Therefore his fans got very disappointed after they learned they couldn’t watch him for one last time, but the singer gave them hope by saying he was ‘in the middle of his first retirement.’ In addition, he recently highlighted that he could always decide not to remain retired while leaving the Los Angeles International Airport by showing Rambo and Rocky as examples.

Roth said in his interview that:

There’s always a tomorrow for a singer, not so much for a trombone player these days. How many times did Rocky retire? Seven. I think No. 3 was my favorite? How many times did Rambo have to come out of retirement in order to make the sequel?”

As a result, the longtime David Lee Roth fans, especially the ones who purchased tickets for Las Vegas shows, can hope for a new announcement from him, considering his words about the possibility of returning to touring. Roth probably will share details about his concerts through a unique painting soon.
