David Coverdale Announces The Cancelation Of Whitesnake Show

Whitesnake vocalist David Coverdale announced on Instagram that they had to cancel a show. However, the cause of the cancelation was unknown.

Recently, Whitesnake hit the road for the Farewell Tour, postponed in 2020 due to the global pandemic in May 2022. In the process, until the 2022 tour, the bassist Michael Levin parted ways with the band. Tanya O’Callaghan joined the group replacing Levin.

O’Callaghan also gave hints that David Coverdale would continue recording for Whitesnake after completing the tour. Then Coverdale spoke in a way that confirmed what the bassist said. The rocker stated that he would retire from touring but keep going to create for the band.

Everything went as planned for the Farewell Tour, and they hit the road in May 2022. However, Reb Beach’s absence from a few shows caught the fans’ attention during the tour. Joel Hoekstra was covering Bech’s solos in his absence. Hoekstra later revealed that Beach felt sick, and the band did not want to interrupt the tour, so he was playing replacing him.

After this statement, Coverdale made another announcement recently. The rocker stated they did their best in the face of the obstacles they encountered during the tour. He mentioned that they tried hard to give the fans the deserved performance. However, the frontman apologized for canceling the show in Spain due to problems they couldn’t avoid. Nevertheless, the reason for the sudden cancelation was unknown.

David Coverdale wrote on IG:

“Dear Whitesnake fans, please know we are doing everything in our power to bring you the best high energy and exciting shows we possibly can. We always strive to deliver 100%, as Whitesnake fans always deserve that much and never anything less. Our desire is to complete our European tour with the same passion with which we started it!

We knew embarking on this tour could present many new obstacles and potential issues which had been unknown to us on previous tours. Please know we are doing everything in our power to work through these unprecedented challenges. We are a close-knit band, we love each other, and we love you. We appreciate you, and as always, we thank you for your support!

We sincerely apologize to our Spanish fans for unavoidably having to cancel tonight’s show.”
