Courtney Love Shares Details About Her Break Up From Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan

The singer Courtney Love shared a nostalgic clip from the ’90s and remembered how great it used to be back then. The video was accompanied by the Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Whir,’ and Love wrote in the caption that it might be a song from ‘her’ era.

Courtney Love had a complicated love triangle with Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain and Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan. While she was with Corgan, she had a major crush on Cobain, and she had a daughter with him before he passed away with suicide.

Although some people seem to believe the conspiracy theory that she is the one who murdered him, there haven’t been any sources verifying that. Even though she was with Corgan, she had an untameable love for Cobain, but it seems like people will always believe that she was the cause of his death.

Because Love broke Corgan’s heart, she claimed that the Smashing Pumpkins songs and albums were inspired by her. Apparently, even after decades, she still believes that she was Corgan’s inspiration during that period. In her Instagram post, she posted the video with the song ‘Whir,’ and stated that she doesn’t know if this song was from the time she inspired him because the song is ‘too happy.’

Here is what she wrote in the caption:

“Number 1 thing I miss about the ’90s isn’t pronounced. But this is lovely & so bittersweet.

Especially if you’re a Los Angles kid. I’ve watched it 20 times. This is what the 90s were like (in this Instagram framework). Great work by Lightfield Lewis.

Smashing Pumpkins ‘Whir’ (I don’t know if it’s about me era! Sounds too happy)

The two singers reunited in 2006, and Corgan moved in with Love. However, their relationship ended with a feud, and Love publicly humiliated him by stating that he didn’t want to attend her daughter’s sweet sixteen party.

The two had fights after that on Twitter about not giving credits to Corgan for the two songs he had written for Love’s band Hole’s album, ‘Nobody’s Daughter.’ There hasn’t been any news about their current relationship, but Love’s anger seems to have cooled down as she posted a Smashing Pumpkins song.
