Chuck Leavell Addresses The Conflict Between Mick Jagger And Keith Richards

Keyboardist Chuck Leavell recently joined Music Radar for an interview and revealed whether there is still a conflict between the Rolling Stones icons Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

Despite being childhood friends with so much in common, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger have had a tumultuous relationship over the years. Although they have been friends for a long time, Richards and Jagger had serious issues over the years.

In the 1980s, the pair began hating each other. Richards believed that Jagger started to become unbearable then and nicknamed him ‘B*tchy Brenda’ or ‘Her Majesty.’ However, this wasn’t the only time Richards used harsh words about his bandmate; he also said that Jagger had a tiny penis.

Although they had issues in the past, Richards and Jagger now continue to work together with the Rolling Stones. Chuck Leavell has been musical director and touring band’s keyboardist since 1982. As a person close to the bandmates, he also confirmed that the ice between the pair is now broken.

In a recent interview with Music Radar, Chuck Leavell stated that Jagger and Richards are like brothers. According to the keyboardist, Jagger once argued that they left the conflicts in the past as they got older. Leavell said watching the pair work together in rehearsals is like watching two siblings.

Speaking to Music Radar, Chuck Leavell said the following:

“They’re brothers. Totally, brothers. I read an interview with Mick, and they asked him about that, and he said that the older they get, they realize that whatever conflict here and there they may have had in the past is not there anymore.

To see them together with Ronnie in rehearsals laughing it up, going off and playing a blues song, and Mick grabbing a harmonica and playing so beautifully. They’re brothers. I think we’re all brothers at this time.”

Last year, Keith Richards stated that he and Jagger are the closest on stage and always count on each other. Richards then said that he feels their friendship intensely during concerts, and they always have each other’s backs. Considering Leavell’s remarks, it’s safe to say that Richards and Jagger have moved on and now get along well.
