The delay suggests the release was originally planned for this week but has been pushed back to allow the team to finalize remaining elements of the launch. Fans can expect further updates as the new release date approaches.

The news adds to the growing anticipation surrounding Decades, which has already generated significant buzz since its announcement. The album marks a notable chapter in the band’s career. The extra time taken to perfect the release reflects the weight the band is placing on it.

As 99.7 The Blitz reported, Decades is Motionless in White’s seventh studio album, set to arrive on July 17 via Roadrunner Records. The record represents a significant milestone for the Scranton, Pennsylvania-based band, who have built a loyal following over more than two decades in the metal scene.

The LASER noted that the album was recorded in Upstate New York and Los Angeles with co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin “JD” deBlieck. The production team helped the band craft a heavier and more intense body of work compared to some of their earlier releases.

Chris Motionless has been open about the creative direction behind Decades, citing the current cultural climate as a driving force. He described the record as being fueled by “aggressive energy, anger, and resistance,” as 99.7 The Blitz highlighted.

Adding another layer of intrigue to the album, Chris Motionless revealed on TikTok that Decades will also include a cover of “Sunglasses at Night.” The track offers fans a surprising and eclectic addition to the tracklist alongside heavier original material.
