Armstrong’s statement showcases her commitment to maintaining performance intensity and keeping shows fresh with Linkin Park.

Her recent interview highlights an ongoing journey as she establishes her role within the legendary rock band. This marks a significant chapter in both her career and Linkin Park’s evolution.

Loudwire revealed that Armstrong joined the band in September 2024. Her arrival came seven years after Chester Bennington’s passing. She brought a fresh dynamic and vocal style to the band’s sound.

The collaboration has yielded positive results. Mike Shinoda praised Armstrong’s natural integration into the band during discussions about their new album ‘From Zero.’

Loudwire uncovered an earlier connection between Armstrong and the band. She had been considered for a performance during Chester Bennington’s celebration of life at the Hollywood Bowl. The opportunity didn’t materialize at that time.

“Emily’s voice and energy were exactly what we needed for this new chapter,” Shinoda stated during recent promotional interviews for their new album.

His words reinforced the band’s confidence in choosing Armstrong as their new vocalist.
