Greta Van Fleet has released their first new music in three years with the new single ‘Play Your Games’. The official video is available on Greta Van Fleet’s YouTube channel.
The release marks the band’s first new material since their 2023 album Starcatcher. It arrives alongside their recently announced return to the live stage following a period of hiatus.
The band shared a brief but direct message to fans accompanying the release.
“This one’s for you,” Greta Van Fleet said. “‘Play Your Games’ is out now.”
The single signals a new chapter for the rock band as they re-emerge both musically and on tour. The track arrives after the Michigan quartet had already debuted it live, building anticipation among fans before its official release.
Ultimate Classic Rock reported that ‘Play Your Games’ was officially released on May 29, 2026. The track was co-produced by the band alongside producer Mike Elizondo, and an official music video was published on YouTube on the same day.
Revolver Magazine noted that the song had already been performed live before its release, including at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. There, the band also premiered another new track titled ‘Tear It Down’, hinting that more new music may be on the way.

As of now, Greta Van Fleet has not yet announced a fourth studio album.
