Bruce Kulick recently commented on KISS receiving their Kennedy Center Honor Medals. He shared his thoughts on the prestigious ceremony in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Kulick, who has been a longtime guitarist for the legendary rock band, expressed his honor at being included in the celebration of KISS’s achievement. The medals were presented in the Oval Office. Band members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss were in attendance, along with Monique, the daughter of late member Ace Frehley, who accepted on his behalf.

“KISS received their medals of honor yesterday (Paul, Gene, Peter, and Ace’s daughter Monique accepting for her late dad) in the Oval Office,” Kulick said. “Today is the musical tributes to all that received at the Opera House of the Kennedy Center. Afterwards, an invite-only Gala follows. Eric, Tommy, and I are attending. It’s an honor to be included!”

The Kennedy Center Honor represents one of the highest recognitions for artistic achievement in the United States. It celebrates KISS’s significant impact on rock music and popular culture over their decades-long career.

President Trump hosted the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony on December 8, 2025, according to CT Public. He became the first president to host the Kennedy Center awards ceremony. The event marked a significant moment in the nation’s cultural calendar, with tributes taking center stage at the prestigious Opera House venue.

The Kennedy Center Honors ceremony has long been recognized as one of America’s most distinguished celebrations of artistic achievement. The event brings together honorees, fellow musicians, and dignitaries to recognize lifetime contributions to the performing arts. For KISS, receiving this honor underscores the band’s enduring legacy in rock music and their influence on generations of musicians and fans worldwide.

Kulick’s attendance alongside fellow guitarists Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer demonstrates the continued camaraderie within the KISS family. The inclusion of current and former band members in the celebration reflects the band’s evolution. It also showcases the deep connections forged throughout their storied career spanning multiple decades.

The ceremony’s dual components—the official presentation in the Oval Office followed by musical tributes and an exclusive gala—highlight the significance of the Kennedy Center Honors as a comprehensive celebration of artistic excellence. For Kulick and his fellow attendees, the invitation to participate in these festivities represents a meaningful recognition of their contributions to one of rock music’s most iconic and influential bands.
