Alice Cooper Announces New Guitarist To Replace Nita Strauss

Alice Cooper shared a post to reveal the new guitar player that would join the Alice Cooper band for their upcoming shows. After Nita Strauss’ departure, the famous musician reflected on his feelings about collaborating with a familiar face on his official Instagram account.

Nita Strauss replaced Orianthi as Alice Cooper’s new guitarist in 2014, and she successfully performed legendary tracks, thanks to her talent and hard work. Even though she has been very successful and received positive reviews from critics and Cooper himself, the guitarist made a decision about her career with Cooper. Recently, Strauss announced that she had parted ways with the band and would start a new journey.

After Strauss left, the fans began wondering who would be the next guitar player before the band hit the stage soon. In a recent post, Cooper announced that his dear friend Kane Roberts became the band’s new guitarist for Detroit Muscle Tour. He had previously worked with Cooper from 1985 to 1988 and took place in iconic records named ‘Constrictor’ and ‘Raise Your Fist and Yell’ as the guitar player and co-writer.

The tour will start on September 7, 2022, in Bethlehem and end on October 8, in Las Vegas to promote Alice’s latest studio album, ‘ Detroit Stories,’ released on February 26, 2021. The singer talked about welcoming back Roberts after decades, saying he always had a swinging door policy and was excited to collaborate with the guitarist. He was sure it would be a blast with Roberts, Ryan Roxie, and Tommy Henriksen.

Here’s what Cooper wrote in his post:

I’m looking forward to welcoming back Kane Roberts for our shows in September and October. We’ve been friends, and he’s always been one of my favorite guitarists. He’s bringing more muscle to the Detroit Muscle Tour.

We’ve always had a swinging door policy where players can come and go, so it’s very exciting to get back on stage with Kane. The fans are in for a real treat at these shows. It’s going to be a blast. Kane Roberts, Ryan Roxie, and Tommy Henriksen on guitars? Hell yeah!”
