Scott Weiland’s Son Noah Doesn’t Bothered By The ‘Drug Addict’ Label

In a recent Instagram story, Noah Weiland revealed that he isn’t upset about the ‘drug addict’ label referred to him in the headlines about his new song.

Noah’s latest track, ‘Yesterday,’ arrived on November 24. The singer initially shared the news about his new song from different sources. Following the iHeart news with the headline, ‘Scott Weiland’s Son Noah Grieves Someone He Lost Due To His Addiction,’ he wrote:

“And btw, I could care less about the headlines talking about addiction: 1) It’s helping grow my music. 2) I don’t even struggle with drugs anymore. So it doesn’t bother me… It’s the past! Also, I don’t even consider myself ‘sober’ or ‘in AA.’ Nothing against it whatsoever (I still enjoy fellowship). I’m just past that point of my life now! Just wanted to clear that up since there’s some headlines.”

Musical Journey Post Suspect208

Three years ago, Noah was part of the young rock band Suspect208 with London Hudson and Tye Trujillo. Still, he faced issues due to alleged drug use and was replaced before the band disbanded. Following this, Noah briefly formed Blu Weekend with Tye.

Last year, he launched a solo EP with a more pop-oriented sound than his previous work. In early 2023, Noah released the single ‘Good Riddance & Goodbye,’ where he discussed moving on from a relationship impacted by his past substance use. In a September Instagram post, Noah looked back on the last two years, reflecting on his journey to sobriety. He said:

“Life works in crazy ways. The last two years of my life have been the most exhausting, heartbreaking, confusing times I’ve ever experienced… I battled every day whether I was fighting to stay sober, keeping a dead relationship alive, cutting off fake f*ck ass people, struggling to make money, or even have a place to sleep at night.”

From Struggles To Sobriety

In January 2023, Noah announced on Instagram that he had been clean for a while. The singer shared that he achieved his first performance completely sober. He emphasized his victory over addiction, and acknowledged his growth in singing, admitting he didn’t know how to sing two years ago.
