Zakk Wylde just recently found an embarrassing picture of Ozzy Osbourne, and seemingly, Osbourne would pay the Black Label Society rocker to hide it.

In a recent interview with The News-Herald, Wylde reminisced about his touring day with Osbourne and shared that they were still in contact all the time, and apparently, a recent chat with an old photo of Osbourne made the former Black Sabbath singer almost regret going out in public like the way he appeared in the photo. Wylde recalled the moment:

“I still text Ozz all of the time. I recently sent him a GIF when they introduced him on MTV with the big poofy hair. Ozz goes, ‘Oh my God. Zakk, something went terribly wrong between my journey from Sabbath to that. I’ll pay you not to show that to anyone.'”

Wylde shortly continued by admiring Osbourne’s sense of humor:

“His sense of humor is still hilarious. I’m like, ‘Ozz, keep doing your therapy.”

Wylde And Osbourne Worked And Toured Together

The friendship of the two goes way back. In 1988, Wylde and Osbourne worked on Osbourne’s fifth studio album, ‘No Rest For The Wicked.’ In fact, that was when Osbourne decided to fire his lead guitarist, Jake E. Lee, in 1987. Later, he received a demo tape from Wylde, and after an audition, he was hired.

After the release of the album, the rocker went on a support tour along with Wylde. The tour included a guitar solo from Zakk Wylde on the track ‘Bloodbath in Paradise.’ It kicked off on 28 July 1987 and wrapped up on 13 August 1989.

Zakk Wylde Has A Black Sabbath Cover Band

This fact might surprise you. He might be known for his role in Black Label Society, but the rocker has a Black Sabbath cover band. Named Zakk Sabbath, the band was formed by Wylde himself in 2014, and has still actively been touring. The remaining members of the band consist of Blasko, the bassist for Rob Zombie, and Joey Castillo, the drummer for QOTSA and Danzig. The band has been constantly gigging since 2014 with their take on Sabbath’s early songs.
