Sleep Token’s third studio album has reached a major commercial milestone. Take Me Back to Eden has now been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The certification follows the album’s remarkable streaming performance. Take Me Back to Eden recently surpassed more than 2 billion global streams, earning it the Platinum designation from the RIAA. The album’s second single, “The Summoning,” has also been certified Gold, clearing 500,000 plays on its own.
Take Me Back to Eden is Sleep Token’s first Platinum album. Their previous record, Even in Arcadia, reached Gold status earlier in 2026. Both certifications reflect the band’s growing global presence and sustained commercial momentum.
The album’s dominance was evident long before the Platinum certification arrived. Upon its release in May 2023, Take Me Back to Eden debuted at No. 3 on the Official UK Albums Chart. It was the highest chart position Sleep Token had ever achieved at the time, signaling a mainstream breakthrough without any compromise to their sound.
The album’s streaming footprint was equally striking. Take Me Back to Eden became Spotify’s most-streamed metal album of 2023. That distinction reflected both the record’s broad appeal and the sustained listener engagement it generated well beyond its release week.
Individual tracks also contributed significantly to the album’s overall momentum. Songs including “Chokehold,” “The Summoning,” “Aqua Regia,” “Granite,” and “Vore” collectively surpassed 85 million streams around the time of the album’s launch. “The Summoning” alone accounted for roughly 40 million of those plays, a figure that foreshadowed its eventual Gold certification.
Take Me Back to Eden also carries deeper significance within Sleep Token’s broader artistic journey. The record serves as the closing chapter of a trilogy that began with Sundowning in 2019 and continued with This Place Will Become Your Home in 2021. Its Platinum status marks not just a commercial peak, but the culmination of a carefully constructed creative arc that has steadily expanded the band’s global reach.
