Wolfgang Van Halen Reacts To David Lee Roth’s Retirement Decision
Mammoth WVH founder Wolfgang Van Halen recently posted a photo with former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth on his Instagram account to share his feelings about Roth’s decision to stop performing live.
As you probably know, Wolf replaced the band’s bassist Michael Anthony when David Lee Roth reunited with Van Halen for the second time in 2006. Even though the fans appreciated the Van Hagar era, they were also excited about the beginning of the Roth era again. With its new lineup, the band released ‘A Different Kind of Truth’ on February 7, 2012.
Wolfgang Van Halen seems to have seen the latest news considering Diamond Dave’s decision to retire as he recently shared a photo from the time they shared on stage. As you may have heard, in one of his recent interviews, Roth stated that his upcoming five concerts in Las Vegas, which will start on December 31, 2021, and end on January 8, 2022, will be his last shows.
In his recent Instagram post, Wolf shared his photo in which he is on stage with Roth and defined their journey as ‘hell of a run.’ It seems like Wolf can’t still forget the good old days when he was Van Halen’s youngest member playing alongside his father Eddie and David Lee Roth.
Wolf’s IG post read:
“One hell of a run, Dave…”
