Trent Reznor reportedly shared new plans about Nine Inch Nails’ future during the band’s live show in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He hinted that the band’s current tour may be their last, as documented in a NIN fan report.

During the performance, Reznor reflected on the band’s history with the venue and expressed uncertainty about future touring plans.

“I think one of the first times we played here, I think maybe it was Cain’s Ballroom, like 80 years ago…. I think we were opening for Peter Murphy… and we were playing ‘Head Like a Hole,’ and I could see someone in the back screaming the f*ckin’ lyrics back at me, and I thought, ‘This is all I ever wanted in life, is to connect with somebody like that dude in the back [of the venue]. Anyway, that’s what I think of when I roll into Tulsa,” Reznor said.

The Nine Inch Nails frontman then addressed the band’s touring future directly.

“I don’t know if we’re gonna be touring anymore after this, but I’m proud of the show that we’re doing right now. And I’m f*ckin’ grateful that you’ve chosen to spend your evening with us tonight. Thank you very much,” he continued.

The comments were made during Nine Inch Nails’ performance at the BOK Center on February 27, 2026.

Reznor’s remarks come as Nine Inch Nails continues their extensive touring schedule. The band has taken their show across multiple continents over the past year.

The current tour is known as the Peel It Back Tour. It represents the band’s most ambitious touring effort in recent years. Wikipedia reported that the tour consists of 63 shows across Europe and North America. The tour started in Dublin, Ireland on June 15, 2025, and is scheduled to finish in Sacramento later this month.

The North American leg of the tour was significantly expanded to meet fan demand. 102.1 the Edge noted that the band extended their North American dates in October 2025. They added 22 shows from February to March 2026, with support from electronic artist Boys Noize.

Live Nation has produced the tour. It kicked off its North American extension on February 5 in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center. The tour includes stops planned in major cities including Washington DC, Montreal, and Austin before concluding in Sacramento.

Nine Inch Nails has special appearances lined up at Coachella in April following the tour’s conclusion. Brooklyn Vegan confirmed that the band will perform at both weekends of Coachella alongside Boys Noize under the collaborative name “Nine Inch Noize.”
