“I know you’re not into metal David, but what’s your opinion on Eddie Van Halen?”

Here is how David Crosby replied:

After seeing David Crosby’s reply to the question, the L.A. Guns guitarist was furious and quite offended by his reaction as it was a disrespectful manner against another musician who is considered as one of the most influential and greatest guitarists of all time. Therefore, Guns warned Crosby with a post on his official Twitter page, stating that his answer is rude and disrespectful.

Here is what Guns said:

Wrong answer as fuck and rude as fuck!!! There are better ways to say you don’t care for someone’s music. That was very disrespectful. And yes straight out fuck you and your smug answer.”

It’s an undeniable fact that Van Halen guitarist holds a special place for Tracii Guns and recently, he shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing a fond memory he had with the late guitarist. Apparently, Guns encountered Eddie Van Halen while he was looking for CDs to recreate his collection after the original one was stolen.

Being the kind person that he was, Eddie Van Halen helped L.A. Guns co-founder for looking for the CDs that he needed for 30 minutes, furthermore, recommended more to enhance his collection. Tracii Guns could not even tell Eddie that he was there to buy Eddie’s first album and revealed that it was a marvelous day for him.

Here is what Guns said:

“Eddie VH encounter. I had just come off tour and my gigantic book of CDs had been stolen off of the bus in Salt Lake City. I was in Music + on Laurel Canyon and Ventura Blvd. I went there to buy one CD to symbolically start all over again.

I was in the A bin looking at Aerosmith and AC/DC CDs and someone tugs on my shirt and says ‘Haay Tracii’ I knew it was Eddie because no one else had that voice. I turned around and he was on crutches after he told me he had some hip surgery.

Anyway, I tell him what happened and that I just wanted to buy 1 cd. He helped me browse for about 30 minutes making all kinds of suggestions. Most were not guitar hero records but classic rock stuff.

We both finally agreed that Physical Graffiti had to be my new first CD. It was unanimously decided. Said see ya later and he took off. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I was there to buy his first album. That was an awesome day. Valerie Bertinelli, I’m pretty sure U were there.”
