Tommy Henriksen Thinks Johnny Depp Is Not Like What People Expected

4 Min Read

Tommy Henriksen recently spoke with Chuck Shute about his latest project, Crossbone Skully, and his experiences with Hollywood Vampires. A part of the talk focused on the 2022 defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, as the guitarist shared his thoughts on his bandmate by saying:

“That guy is nothing like that. That guy’s the f**king greatest guy in the world. That’s all I gotta say. It was one of those moments I was like, ‘Oh, you know what? He’s a smart guy, dude. And he is a f**king – He’s the most lovable and generous guy ever. So, all that stuff that was going, yeah, people are gonna find out for themselves.’ And they did. They did, and I gotta say he’s like one of my best friends, that guy, and I would do anything for that guy just like he’d do so for me.”

The trial, which captured widespread media attention, concluded with the jury finding in favor of Depp, supporting his defamation claims. Following this, Hollywood Vampires returned to the music scene with a tour in 2023.

Henriksen joined the founding members once again during the latest trek. The guitarist first shared the stage with Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, and Johnny Depp during their debut show in 2015. Reflecting on his first meeting with the actor, he once told Long Island Press:

“As soon as you meet someone, you know, I can tell if I’m going to be friends with this guy, or I’m gonna be like, ‘Hey man, cool, see you later.’ Because you can always tell, and as soon as I met Johnny, there was this thing. I was like,’ Yeah, this guy is gonna be in my life.’ I just knew it.”

Alice Cooper’s Loyalty To His Bandmate

Cooper supported Herniksen’s claims while talking about Depp in his own interviews. He also mentioned the actor’s ‘soft nature’ during an appearance on Studio 10 a while ago.

The singer, who defended his bandmate during the accusations of abuse by saying he was ‘the most harmless human being I’ve ever met,’ shared the reason behind his loyalty to Depp by saying:

“Well, I think it’s just because when you meet him, you realize that he’s above the most down-to-earth person there is. He’ll spend an hour talking to somebody he’s never met before, just on a park bench. I mean, that’s him.”

The Band Members’ Current Projects

After their 2023 tour, which ended at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in New York, the members of Hollywood Vampires focused on separate projects. Henriksen released a new single, ‘I’m Unbreakable,’ with Crossbone Skully a week ago and is getting ready for a full album release in 2024.

Meanwhile, Depp recently finished his second directing gig, as the filming for the upcoming biographical drama film, ‘Modì,’ wrapped up earlier this month. Alice Cooper is set to hit the road in June 2024 for a tour to promote his new album, ‘Road.’
