Alice Cooper Explains Why He Refuses To Believe The Abuse Allegations Against Johnny Depp

During a recent interview with Page Six, the founder and frontman of the self-named band, Alice Cooper, talked about his close friendship with Johnny Depp and described what a nice person he is while praising his guitar playing skills.

As you know, the rock world has been shaken by the latest sexual, emotional, and physical abuse allegations directed to Marilyn Manson. The conversation around Marilyn Manson has reminded rock fans of the physical and emotional abuse allegations that involved Johnny Depp.

Back in 2016, the famous actress Amber Heard had accused her ex-husband Johnny Depp of ‘excessive emotional, verbal, and physical abuse,’ and the evidence that she brought to the court was described as ‘overwhelming and undeniable.’ However, there were some people who refused to believe that Amber Heard is telling the truth, one of them being Alice Cooper.

In his recent interview, Alice Cooper said that Johnny Depp is one of the nicest and ‘most harmless‘ people he’s ever met and that this is the reason why he’s ‘not buying into all of the other stories.’ Cooper said that he knows Depp both because they’re close friends and because they’re bandmates in Hollywood Vampires.

Alice Cooper went on to say that one of the things that surprise people the most when they meet Depp is that he’s very humble and ‘he will sit and talk to you for an hour even if he doesn’t know you.’ Another thing about Depp that surprises Alice Cooper a lot is his guitar playing skills. Apparently, he’s a very talented guitarist, and ‘he was a guitar player before he was an actor.’

Here’s what Alice Cooper said:

“Johnny is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met in my life. He is the most harmless human being I’ve ever met, so I’m not buying into all of the other stories because I know him and everybody else who knows him knows that.”

He went on to say:

“The thing that surprises people the most about Johnny is – other than that he will sit and talk to you for an hour even if he doesn’t know you – is that he’s a great guitar player.

He’s doing work right now with Jeff Beck. You don’t play with Jeff Beck unless you’re a hell of a guitar player. Johnny is a surprisingly good guitar player. He was a guitar player before he was an actor.”
