The Ramones Song That Eddie Vedder Wants To Sing In Every Pearl Jam Show

Eddie Vedder has been performing a Ramones song during almost every Pearl Jam show for a while now. As you may know, the relationship between Eddie and the Ramones grew stronger after Vedder got the chance to meet the band members. In 1996, Eddie even sang a song during the last show of the Ramones’ tribute tour at The Palace, Hollywood.
Eddie was a huge fan of The Ramones, and he was also a close friend of the guitarist, Johnny Ramone. In 2002, Eddie inducted the Ramones into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and shared his admiration for the band. Unfortunately, Johhny passed away two years later at the age of 55. After his passing, Eddie visited the Ramones museum and left a note for the guitarist to pay his tribute.
Why Does Eddie Vedder Perform ‘I Believe In Miracles’ So Often?
There’s no wonder that Eddie was a great fan of the Ramones. Thus, he probably knows how to play their songs and actually performs one of the hits in almost all Pearl Jam shows to pay his respects to the band. ‘I Believe In Miracles’ is a song from The Ramones released back in 1989 as the opening track of their eleventh studio album, ‘Brain Drain.’ It also appeared on the ‘We’re a Happy Family: A Tribute to Ramones’ record.
Pearl Jam first performed the song live in 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona, and they played the track until their last concert, before the pandemic outbreak, in 2018 at Rock Werchter Festival. Even though Pearl Jam returned to the stage this month, they haven’t played the song yet. However, they will probably perform the ‘I Believe in Miracles’ in the near future because they always do.
