Billy Idol and Joan Jett are teaming up for a summer tour.
Idol announced the ‘It’s a Nice Day to… Tour Again!’ with a funny video. In the video, people quote his lyrics to him everywhere he goes. He’s even visited by a psychologist, played by Joan Jett herself.
The first leg of the tour starts April 30th in Phoenix and ends May 23rd in Toronto. After a break, the tour will continue on August 16th in Philadelphia and end on September 25th in Los Angeles. For every ticket sold to the tour’s final stop in Los Angeles, five dollars will be donated to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts after the Los Angeles wildfires. Idol will personally match this donation.
Local pre-sales begin January 23 at 9 a.m., and general sales open January 24 at 9 a.m.
Idol has finished his new album, expected in April. It will be his first full album since 2014’s ‘Kings and Queens of the Underground.’ He also released two EPs recently: ‘The Roadside’ in 2021 and ‘The Cage’ in 2022.
Jett recently toured with Alanis Morissette on the ‘Triple Moon Tour’ and will do a brief Las Vegas residency before hitting the road with Idol. Her latest release is the 2023 EP ‘Mindsets.’
