‘All Along The Watchtower’ was initially written and recorded by Bob Dylan and came out from his eighth studio album, ‘John Wesley Harding,’ in 1967. Many artists released their interpretations of this song in different styles. Jimi Hendrix Experience was among the names that created a distinctive rendition of the track. The piece was featured in their 1968 studio album ‘Electric Ladyland,’ and gained considerable success that it became integrated with Hendrix.

In 2020, KISS frontman Paul Stanley shared a photo of Hendrix and said how he found the guitarist incredible with his style in this song. He stated that listening to this song from Hendrix greatly impressed him. The frontman noted he considered himself lucky to have watched the guitarist live twice and that he took this photo at one of these shows in 1968. Stanley praised Hendrix’s interpretation of ‘All Along The Watchtower’ by calling him ‘pure genius’ in the tweet.
