Poison Cancel Stadium Tour Show After Bret Michaels’ Hospitalization

Poison lead singer and rhythm guitarist Bret Michaels recently shared a post to reveal details about the last night’s canceled appearance on his official Instagram account. Michaels said he’s deeply sorry about not meeting with their fans in Nashville due to his health problems.

Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe’s co-headlining tour, The Stadium Tour, was rescheduled twice because of the global pandemic that affected the world. Poison, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts joined them as special guests along with Classless Act to perform as the opening acts. The longly-awaited tour began on June 16, 2022, in Cumberland with unforgettable shows, and it will end on September 9, 2022, in Las Vegas.

In addition, all of these bands’ fans were so happy and excited about watching them live after years of waiting until a disappointing announcement from Poison members shortly before their concert in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 30, 2022. The famous musicians said they wouldn’t perform their shows because their frontman Michaels had an allergic reaction to the medication without further information.

Then, the other resources claimed he was diagnosed with COVID-19, but the Poison icons didn’t speak to the reporters to confirm or deny it. In his recent post, Michaels highlighted that he was thankful for the followers’ well wishes and kind words following his illness and hospitalization. Still, he didn’t unveil his health condition and the reason behind the treatment. The singer added that he did his best to hit the stage and he would work hard to return to their performances with the other bands.

Michaels’ IG post read:

“To the incredible fans in Nashville, thank you for all your well wishes! I was truly fired up to get on the stage in the Music City and perform, but due to an unforeseen medical complication and following hospitalization, it wasn’t possible. I sent my deepest apologies for being unable to rock the stage tonight! I’m working on being back 100% very soon and hope you rocked hard with my friends, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Joan Jett, and Classless Act.”
