Taylor Momsen Collaborates With Soundgarden’s Matt Cameron And Kim Thayil On New Pretty Reckless Video

The Pretty Reckless frontwomen Taylor Momsen shared a post on her official Instagram page announcing a brand new music video for the track, ‘Only Love Can Save Me Now’ as well as revealing that the music video also features the collaboration of Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron and lead guitarist Kim Thayil. 

As many of you might know, The Pretty Reckless released its fourth studio album named ‘Death by Rock and Roll’ on February 12, 2021, and the record became an instant commercial success as it was the highest-selling album in the United States in its release week, reaching the 28th position on the Billboard 200 as well as debuting at the number one of the Top Album Sales Chart.

The third single of the album named ‘Only Love Can Save Me Now’ featured Soundgarden icons Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil as the song was an homage to late lead vocalist Chris Cornell who passed away on May 18, 2017, at the age of 52, after The Pretty Reckless performed as an opening act for Soundgarden at the Fox Theatre.

While the incident was quite traumatizing for The Pretty Reckless frontwomen as she opened up quite a few times during interviews since she saw Chris Cornel and kissed him goodbye after the show which was his final one. For the purpose of paying tribute to the legendary Soundgarden singer as well as the close relationship Momsen had with the band members, they collaborated on the song which was thrilling to hear for the fans.

Recently, Taylor Momsen shared a post on her official Instagram page announcing that a brand new music video for the song, ‘Only Love Can Save Me Now’ is now uploaded on the band’s official YouTube channel and it features appearances from both Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil as the fans expected and the visuals carry the tune and the theme of the song which showed what an incredible job they did while honoring the late frontman of Soundgarden.
