Sting Releases A New Track In Collaboration With Angelique Kidjo And Dedicates It To Greta Thunberg

The English musician and former member of the Police, Sting, recently posted a video on his Instagram account and shared his happiness for the release of his latest song ‘Mother Nature‘ with Angelique Kidjo and celebrated World Environment Day while applauding activists like Greta Thunberg for their fight to raise awareness and save the planet.

Sting is without a doubt one of the most famous English musicians and he’s known for his tenure with the Police but also his solo career. The 69 years old musician who went solo in 1985 is still an active musician and is clearly far from retiring. In March, he’d announced the release of his album ‘Duets which can be described as a compilation album, which consists of duets with fellow musicians.

The album featured great names such as Annie Lennox, Shaggy, Eric Clapton, Mylène Farmer, and twelve more musicians from various backgrounds such as hip hop, reggae, and pop, and it was a huge success. In fact, the CD version of ‘Duets’ was sold out on its release date but now it’s back in stock.

With his recent post, Sting announced the release of his latest collaboration ‘Mother Nature‘ with Angelique Kidjo. The duo decided to release their song on World Environment Day and dedicate it to the spirit of Greta Thunberg and the whole environmental movement,’ a gesture that was appreciated by thousands.

Here’s what the caption of Sting’s recent Instagram repost from Angelique’s account said:

“For World Environment Day, I’m dedicating ‘Mother Nature,’ my new video with Sting and Yann Arthus-Bertrand to the spirit of Greta Thunberg and the whole environmental movement!”
