Steven Tyler Has Some Bad News For Aerosmith Fans

Aerosmith recently took to their official Instagram account to update fans about Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. The band also shared some ‘bad news’ surrounding the ‘Peace Out’ shows. The band wrote:
“To our fans: Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”
The band had initially postponed 6 dates after Steven announced that he had an injury that left him with ‘bleeding’ vocal cords during his last concert with the band in New York on September 9th. Even though his injury was supposed to prevent him from performing for 30 days it seems the singer needed more time to recover.
After it became clear that Tyler’s fracture needed more time to heal, the band shared that they had to postpone the remainder of the planned dates until next year. They continued:
“He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential. As a result, all the currently scheduled ‘Peace Out’ shows must be postponed to sometime in 2024, with new dates to be announced as soon as we know more.”
Steven also expressed a few words for fans and showed that he is optimistic about returning to the stage. He said:
“‘I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can!’ – Love, Steven”
Finally, the band also informed fans about purchased tickets, new dates as well as refunds by adding:
“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates, and refunds will be available for those unable to attend once those dates are announced. Fans with questions regarding refunds should reach out to their point of purchase.”
