Static-X has announced the cancellation of their remaining 2026 tour dates due to serious medical issues affecting band members, as reported on Instagram.
The band released an official statement explaining the unavoidable circumstances that led to this difficult decision.
“Due to serious medical issues, Static-X will be forced to cancel our remaining tour dates in 2026,” the band announced. “The situation is unavoidable and requires immediate attention.”
The statement continued with an apology to fans and a promise for the future.
“We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and we promise to return to the stage, bigger, stronger and faster in 2027,” they said. “We appreciate your continued love and support and look forward to seeing you all again very soon! Sincerely, Static-X.”
The cancellation affects a significant portion of the band’s planned touring schedule for the year. Blabbermouth reported that the canceled dates included a summer run with Dope and several festival appearances across the United States.
The industrial metal band has maintained strict privacy regarding the specific nature of the medical issues and which band members are affected. Metal Injection noted that no specific band member has been publicly identified in connection with the health concerns.
Prior to this unexpected cancellation, Static-X had been actively planning their future. Nu Metal Agenda revealed that bassist Tony Campos had previously discussed the band’s plans for new Static-X music after completing work tied to their “Project Regeneration” era.
The band has also been working on additional projects beyond touring. The PRP indicated that Campos mentioned the band has a documentary in progress and planned to revisit songwriting after that project’s completion.
The band has not disclosed specific details about the nature of the medical issues or which members are affected. Fans will have to wait until 2027 for the band’s return to touring, as promised in their heartfelt statement to supporters.
