If you were pumped about Corey Taylor’s debut solo album ‘CMFT,’ which came out in 2020, here’s the news that will brighten your day. The Slipknot singer shared a video on Twitter to break down what to expect from his second solo album, and let’s just say you don’t want to sleep on this when it is released.
“I’m really, really excited,” Taylor said, sharing his enthusiasm about his new project. “I mean, everything’s just bigger this time, man. Everything sounds better; everything’s running better; everything’s running hot. Instead of where I came from, this is where I’m going.”
He continued, “Musically, it’s harder, it’s faster, but there’s still tons of stuff from the first album. So, there are elements of Slipknot; there are elements of Stone Sour, there are elements of ‘CMFT’; there are elements of the stuff that I’ve been doing for years — just, like, cover-wise or whatever, just all the stuff that I’ve always wanted to do, we’re doing that.”
The frontman explained that ‘CMF2’ would be bigger and better. Taylor added, “We’re just cranking it up, and it all sounds so f*cking good that I can’t even describe how stoked I am to be starting on this. And today’s the day. Today’s the day. Today’s the f*cking one. So, let’s get going. Serious as a heart attack, nobody’s ready for what they’re about to hear. It’s for real. But first, we have to record it.”
So hold on to your hat! Not only is a new album on the way from Corey Taylor, but apparently, it’s one that will knock your socks off. If you haven’t heard Taylor’s debut solo album ‘CMFT,’ it’s the perfect time to get acquainted with it as you don’t want to be left behind when ‘CMF2’ comes out.
