Sebastian Bach Thanks Pink For Replacing Bon Jovi’s Poster With His After He Broke Her Heart
Skid Row’s former lead vocalist, Sebastian Bach, recently posted a tweet on his Twitter account to congratulate Pink on her new Billboard Award and he thanked her for the mention during her acceptance speech while saying that he’d love to tour with Bon Jovi again.
As you know, Bach achieved mainstream fame after joining Skid Row in 1987 and he has been working on his solo career since 1996. Skid Row enjoyed mainstream success in the late ’80s and ’90s and they also performed as the opening band for numerous Bon Jovi shows.
There is apparently a famous singer who had a major childhood crush on both Bon Jovi and Sebastian Bach, Pink. Just some hours ago, Pink accepted the Icon Award at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards. The award was given to her by Bon Jovi which led to the revelation of an interesting story.
Apparently, Pink used to be a huge Bon Jovi fan but her heart was broken when she was eight years old and Bon Jovi announced that he was getting married to Dorothea. Pink didn’t come out of her room for a week and decided to rip her Bon Jovi poster and replace it with Sebastian Bach’s.
In his recent tweet, Bach thanked Pink for the mention and was delighted ‘to have been some sort of assistance on that fateful day.’ Bach went on to say that recalling the shows they did with Bon Jovi made him very happy and that it would great if they could ‘do some gigs together again.’
This is what Pink said in her acceptance speech:
“I have to tell you, I think you might already know this, but I didn’t come out of my room for a week when you married Dorothea. I was 8, I ripped your poster off the wall, I replaced you with Sebastian Bach. I’m very glad that you found lasting love, Jon, but you broke my heart! I take this as an apology, and I accept.”
Here’s what Sebastian Bach said:
“Congratulations to Pink on your Icon Pink status. Thanks for the mention on Billboard Music Awards I am iconically glad to have been some sort of assistance on that fateful day! Bon Jovi, maybe we should do some gigs together again! Lots of people would probably dig it.”
