Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach recently discussed his plans for new music as a follow-up to his 2024 album ‘Child Within The Man.’ He shared his thoughts in an interview with Rock It 100.5.

Bach revealed that while he’s feeling inspired to create new music, his busy touring schedule presents a significant challenge to the creative process.

“I’m starting to get that itch to do a new album,” Bach said. “But the last one we did in the pandemic, and it was very easy to focus on it because there was no concerts or touring. It’s really hard for me to concentrate on making a new album when I’m playing every night.”

The singer acknowledged the ongoing nature of his touring commitments while expressing his passion for both live performance and studio work.

“So I don’t know when this is gonna stop, but it’s not anytime soon,” he continued. “I do enjoy [performing live], but I also really enjoy making records. So I enjoy both of them.”

Bach’s comments come as he continues to maintain an active touring schedule following the release of his latest studio effort. The veteran rocker’s struggle to balance creative work with live performances reflects the ongoing demands of his career.

Blabbermouth reported that Bach launched a 2026 North American headlining tour called “The Party Never Ends.” Stitched Up Heart serves as direct support. This extensive touring commitment helps explain why the singer finds it challenging to focus on new material while performing nightly shows across the country.

The timing of Bach’s latest album release also provides context for his current situation. Wikipedia confirms that “Child Within the Man” was released on May 10, 2024. This makes it a relatively recent addition to his catalog. The album’s creation during the pandemic allowed Bach the focused studio time that he now finds difficult to achieve with his return to regular touring.

Beyond potential new rock material, Bach has also expressed interest in exploring different musical territory. Blabbermouth noted that the singer has revealed plans for a Christmas album. He described his vision as “a traditional piano, organ-based record of vocals of songs that I did in the church when I was in Peterborough, Ontario,” rather than a conventional electric guitar-based holiday record.

Additionally, Bach’s career has seen recent developments beyond his solo work. Wikipedia notes that in March 2026, Bach was announced as the replacement for Twisted Sister vocalist Dee Snider. Snider resigned due to health struggles, adding another dimension to Bach’s already busy performance schedule.
