Scott Weiland’s Daughter Lucy On ‘Not’ Following Her Father’s Steps

From Wolf Van Halen to Layne and Miles Ulrich, many kids follow their parents’ footsteps into the rock scene. Scott Weiland’s son, Noah, is also among those who have chosen a career in music, but his sister, Lucy, did not follow her father’s steps into rock, and the model discussed music, her brother, the meaning of Christmas, and honoring her father with Loudwire.

As Scott Weiland’s holiday album, ‘The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year,’ is now remastered with a brand new edition, Lucy, who prefers to stay away from music for the most part, decided to honor her father’s legacy by discussing the reissue. So, when she was asked if her decision to talk about her dad’s music was about her intention to get into the industry or something more significant than that, Lucy disclosed her true purpose and Noah’s career.

“Definitely about something bigger,” told the model as she discussed her purpose for participating in this chat. “I am not in the musical scene whatsoever. I mean, I mostly just sing in my car, all by myself; but yes, Noah is definitely following in my dad’s footsteps, and I’m very proud of him for what he’s doing.”

She continued honoring her brother’s musical career as she confessed that Noah didn’t want to be shadowed by their late father’s image. Lucy said, “He’s great with everything, but he definitely doesn’t want to be put in a box and be Scott Weiland’s son. He wants to be his own person.”

Even though Lucy had admitted that she was there only to discuss the reissue since the model had been quiet for the most part when talking about anything related to music, she decided to disclose further why she was discussing her father now. Weiland said, “Well, Christmas is the best time, and my dad absolutely loves Christmas.”

So, this interview was about honoring Scott’s memory and celebrating his career and love for Christmas. “So, I’ve never personally spoke out about or done anything sort of like this before, previously, but I feel like this is the perfect time to honor my dad.”

Lucy Weiland knew that her father liked Christmas a lot, and this lovely period meant something special for the late frontman. So even though she has no intention of entering the rock scene, discussing and celebrating her father’s legacy was the best way to honor his memory.
