Scorpions announced the postponement of their ‘Coming Home to Las Vegas 60th Anniversary’ residency due to drummer Mikkey Dee’s ongoing recovery from a serious health condition.

The band posted a tweet to announce the news, saying, “We regret to inform you that due to Mikkey Dee’s ongoing recovery from his recent hospitalization, we have made the decision to postpone our Coming Home to Las Vegas Residency to August 2025. The health and well-being of our brother is of the utmost importance.”

Scorpions then posted another tweet to reveal the status of the tickets. “We wish Mikkey a full and speedy recovery and look forward to rocking with you all again soon! All tickets will be honored for the new dates. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.”

The residency was originally scheduled to kick off on February 27, 2025, at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. It will now take place later this year, with shows planned for August 14, 16, 19, 21, and 23. Tickets for the February and March dates will still be valid for the new shows, and refunds are available for those who need them.

Mikkey Dee joined Scorpions in 2016 after playing drums for Motörhead for more than two decades. He was hospitalized over the holidays with sepsis, a dangerous blood infection caused by bacteria. Dee shared that the illness was life-threatening, and he had multiple operations to remove infected tissue.

“Another day and I’d be playing drums with Lemmy in heaven,” he told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, referencing his late bandmate Lemmy Kilmister. Dee is now back home after three weeks in a Gothenburg hospital, recovering and making progress. He still faces a lengthy road to full recovery.

Dee took to Instagram to shut down the rumors that he might leave the band, calling the claims false. “NO, I AM NOT LEAVING SCORPIONS!” he wrote, adding that he is focused on getting back behind the drum kit in time for the new August dates.

The upcoming Las Vegas residency will celebrate Scorpions’ 60th anniversary as a band and marks their third residency in the city, following ‘Sin City Nights’ in 2022 and ‘Love at First Sting Las Vegas’ in 2024. The shows will feature songs like ‘Wind of Change,’ ‘Still Loving You,’ and ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane.’

Buckcherry will continue to join them as a special guest for these performances.
