Sammy Hagar Confirms The Circle Will Work On A New Album Soon

Former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar recently posted a tweet to announce that The Circle has started working on their upcoming album as they have gone back to the studio for the recording sessions.

As you probably know, The Circle, also known as Sammy Hagar and the Circle, is a supergroup formed in 2014. The band’s current line-up includes lead vocalist Sammy Hagar, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham, and lead guitarist Vic Johnson. On May 10, 2019, they released their first studio album ‘Space Between’ and the album received generally positive reviews from the fans.

The Circle turned the pandemic restrictions to their advantage to be more productive and focus on new projects. Therefore, the band began their ‘Lockdown Sessions’ in which they covered numerous iconic songs. Following that, these sessions turned into the band’s second studio album entitled ‘Lockdown 2020,’ which was released on January 8, 2021.

In his recent tweet, Sammy Hagar surprised his fans by announcing that The Circle went back to the studio shortly after their latest album. He then stated that they took a break while working on the studio, but they couldn’t get in there later. Hagar also highlighted that no one can prevent them from creating music, so they will be back soon to continue their recording sessions.

Hagar’s tweet read:

“‘Hippies and Musicians Use Back Door?’ — took a short break, and we got locked out of RCA Studios in Nashville! You can’t stop this music – we’ll get back in and continue working on the new Circle album!
