Jason Bonham recently left Sammy Hagar’s band after their Best Of All Worlds tour ended. Bonham announced that he was planning to do shows with JBLZE [Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening], and now, Hagar finally broke his silence about the matter.
The drummer shared a video from one of his recent shows on Instagram. Hagar commented, “Congratulations getting back in that Zep groove I’m sure comes natural my brother.”
However, fans weren’t happy with Hagar’s response. A user replied to Hagar’s comment: “Your brother that you kicked out of your band?”
“Sit down,” another added.
Bonham was absent from the final few shows of the tour due to a family issue. He left Sammy Hagar’s Best of All Worlds tour in late August, but didn’t issue a statement about why he left. Kenny Aronoff stepped in to fill his spot for those dates.
While Bonham later stated that he needed to be with his family because his mother was facing health issues, just a few days ago, the drummer confirmed that leaving the band wasn’t his decision.
When the drummer shared the tour dates for his band JBLZE on Instagram, a user’s comment revealed the real reason. The user asked, “C’Mon Jason… Can we get some Los Angeles dates? Also will you be rejoining Best of All Worlds band?”
“Sammy has decided to carry on with Kenny so sadly no,” Bonham revealed.
Bonham continues his music journey with JBLZE. Meanwhile, Hagar is expected to announce ‘big news’ this week.
