In a new conversation with Arizona’s Family, Sammy Hagar shared insights into the envy he’s encountered from famous actors, including Al Pacino and Sylvester Stallone, for his rock star lifestyle.
During the one-on-one interview, the Red Rocker opened up about why he continues to perform despite having the option to retire comfortably, explaining:
“It’s a really special life being a rock star. Everyone wants to be a rock star. Every actor I know, Al Pacino, if I’m talking to Al or Sylvester Stallone, they’ll be like man, you got it made, we want to be you. I’m going, really? Its that good? It’s a pretty good job.”
Legal Battles Over Cabo Wabo

In other news from the singer, this month, Hagar emerged victorious in a legal skirmish concerning an unauthorized Hollywood branch of his Cabo Wabo Cantina. A Los Angeles federal judge sided with Hagar’s company, Red Head Inc., granting a preliminary injunction against franchisee Robert Azinian.
This ruling bars Azinian from leveraging the ‘Cabo Wabo’ name at the disputed Hollywood Boulevard site, citing potential damage to Hagar’s brand reputation and goodwill. The conflict traces back to disagreements between Sammy and his former business partner regarding the operation and expansion of the Cabo Wabo Cantina brand.
The Court Sides With Hagar

Azinian’s lawsuit against Hagar accused the musician of failing to support the Hollywood franchise adequately, a claim met with a counter-lawsuit from Hagar’s camp alleging trademark infringement and a threat to the brand’s integrity.
Judge George H. Wu’s decision emphasized the irreparable harm that continued misuse of the Cabo Wabo name could inflict on Sammy’s company. With the court ruling in his favor, the dispute puts the future of the Hollywood Cabo Wabo Cantina in jeopardy, marking a significant step in Hagar’s efforts to protect his business interests and the reputation of his brand.
